Isolation using TeleLite Fiber Optic System
High voltage isolation using optical fiber in a copper loop (Hybrid solution). Fiber isolation solutions provided in a variety of suitable metallic (NEBS Level 3) and non-metallic NEMA 4X rated polymer cabinets.
TeleLite provides electrical isolation between two point on a telecom landline using a fiber optic link. Its purpose is to increase electrical isolation between the Central Office (CO) and Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), or Station Side. The TeleLite installation are to be deployed at Power Generation Plants, Power Substations, and at Power Transmission Tower Co-located Cellular Sites.
The increase in electrical isolation is achieved by using a fiber optic link. The station side can be located either indoors or outdoors. The CO side, located at a distance away from the station side, lies where the GPR is below 300V with respect to the CO.
TeleLite Product Line
- TeleLite fiber isolator breaks the copper continuity of the telephone line by inserting a length of all-dielectric, optical fiber between the Central Office (CO) and the substation over the ZOI
- TeleLite is FCC registered for Part 68 and Part 15, subpart J (required for CPE connection to the PSTN)
- Basic building blocks for a TeleLite installation include:
- Pre-configured HVI units (Cabinets and Backboards)
- Compact HVI (1U 2-slot shelf, 3-card enclosures)
- 6-position shelf
- Fiber modules
- The TeleLite fiber isolator is modular in design, permitting selection of the specific components needed for a particular application
- Both single mode (SM) and multimode (MM) fiber are readily accommodated by selecting compatible TeleLite isolation cards and fiber optic jumpers
- TeleLite is NEBS Level 3 compliant
